The MS03 is nice and bright and the run time is exactly as advertised. It feels substantial in my hand without being cumbersome on my belt all day long. Time to recharge is extensive but it lasts a whole day for what i need so that is not a big deal to me. The one thing that lets it down massively is how easily it turns itself on. I keep it in the case it comes in and unless i lock it out by multi-tapping the switch, there will undoubtedly be a now familiar warm feeling on my hip where it has turned itself on. While the switch can be locked out, unlocking it is annoying when I just need the flashlight to come on. If the button could be recessed some or have some material protecting the button to make this less of an issue it would be perfect. While it does get hot on high power mode it is exactly what i would expect for such output in such a small form factor. Overall happy with it but I will have to re-evaluate how i keep it on my person.
Hi Marc Hurst,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience with the MS03! We’re thrilled to hear that you find it bright, compact, and capable of lasting a full day—just as advertised. It’s great to know that the size and performance meet your needs!
We truly appreciate your honest input about the accidental activation issue. Your suggestion about recessing the button or adding protective material is extremely valuable, and we’ll pass it along to our design team for future improvements. We understand how frustrating it can be to deal with unintentional activations, especially when carrying it daily.
For now, as a quick workaround, you might consider using the lockout mode (though we agree unlocking it isn’t ideal for immediate use). We’ll definitely explore ways to make the switch more secure while keeping it user-friendly.
Thank you also for your understanding regarding the heat in high-power mode—it’s a trade-off for packing so much output into a compact light, but we’re always looking for ways to optimize performance.
If you have any further suggestions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help and want you to have the best experience possible with our product.
Thanks again for your support, and we hope the MS03 continues to serve you well!
The side light is mostly useless. Needs a magnet on the tail. The battery indicator needs improvement too. The light output is very good. I have not had the light long, so I don’t know about battery life.
Hi Bill Krone,

Your suggestions are incredibly helpful for our product improvement. We’ve noted your points about the side light, the addition of a tail magnet, and the battery indicator. We’ll definitely forward these insights to our development team for future upgrades.
Regarding battery life, we’d love to hear more about your experience after you’ve had more time to test it. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly.
Thanks again for your support, and we hope to serve you better in the future!
Great little torch, surprisingly bright with a great range of adjustable brightness. All I need in a compact go anywhere EDC.
I volunteer doing historic tours of a presidential home for the National Park Service. Over the last 27 years I’ve relied on flashlights to help illuminate rooms enabling visitors to see every feature even those hidden in shadows. In my experience Imalent makes the absolute best flashlights I’ve ever used. The GR35 is all I need. It not only gives me 426 meters of throw and 2,800 lumens of brightness it includes a laser pointer that comes in handy to focus on particular items of interest. In the past no single flashlight has been able to be effective in Avery room throughout the tour. In some situations they didn’t have the throw or weren’t bright enough. That problem has been eliminated by the GR35. It’s the only flashlight I need and the best I’ve ever used. It’s flat design makes it easy to carry in my pocket or clipped to my belt. I bought it with the charging case that guarantees I’m never caught off guard needing to recharge the battery after giving a couple of tours during the month. The GR35 is the best designed, best performing flashlight I’ve ever used.
Perfect!
