This flashlight is like holding a miniature sun in your hand.
Wanted a little reliable quality torch - awesome bit of gear - brightness is as advertised

I was sceptical but now a believer. Stretchy, stitched together well. Material is durable.
While the form factor is great, the brightness and battery life are outstanding, it has some issues. First, I'm not a fan of the dial not clicking in to each position more solidly to differentiate between which light you're selecting. The flashlight can not switch between flood or spot light, both are always on. The laser not being usable with the flashlight is another glaring oversight.
The light has so much going for it with the battery life, especially when including the charging case, the brightness of the light, and the durable feel of it. I just think it isn't a 1-to-1 comparison of its competitors and has different use cases.

You've highlighted some very real trade-offs with the GR35, and I'd like to address each one:
1. Dial detent (not clicking firmly into each mode) — You're right. The rotary dial prioritizes smooth, one-handed operation over firm, tactile stops. This makes it faster to switch between modes, but it lacks the satisfying 'click' of a more mechanical switch. We hear you, and we're passing this feedback to our engineering team for future iterations.
2. Flood/Spot beam (both always on) — This is by design. The GR35 uses a fixed hybrid beam that combines flood and throw in a single, uniform pattern. It cannot switch between pure flood or pure spot because it was engineered to provide balanced illumination for close-to-medium range tasks. This is a deliberate choice, not an oversight — but we understand it may not suit everyone's needs.
3. Laser and main light cannot be used together — This is a safety feature. The laser is Class 3R (or higher), and pointing it at reflective surfaces while the main light is on could cause unintended eye exposure. We intentionally disabled simultaneous operation to prevent accidental misuse. However, we understand why some users would want this functionality for specific scenarios.
Overall: You've correctly identified that the GR35 isn't a direct 1:1 competitor to other wedge lights — it's designed for users who prioritize versatility (4-in-1) and battery life (charging case) over perfect beam customization. We're glad you still see its strengths.

This is a great light, is small and easy to use. Just wish the beam was a bit more narrow. Light quickly fades with distance. It has a very wide beam but still a great very bright light

You're absolutely right: the LD70 packs 4000 lumens into a body the size of your thumb. That kind of power in such a small space naturally generates heat — especially on Turbo mode. It's the trade-off for pocket-sized sun-level brightness.
For everyday use, we recommend sticking to Medium or High modes (900–2000 lumens), which stay cool and still provide plenty of light. Turbo is best for short bursts — think emergencies or impressing your friends 😄

Very bright, high quality feel, my flashlight stopped working, I was concerned about an expensive flashlight breaking. The Imalent customer service diagnosed the issue as the battery and sent a new battery which fixed the problem. They stood behind their product. I really like having a good bright flashlight for safety and security.
