I have been driving an 18 wheeler flatbed tractor trailer truck across the 48 contiguous United States of America since 2013. I am not a felon so am legally allowed to carry a gun, but in many areas of the United States, you can't. This flashlight is useful to aid in self defense. It robs a would be assailant of their ability to see. Hopefully I'll never need it for that. The light itself is amazing. It's a huge upgrade from one of my other flashlights which maxes out at 10,000 lumens. I did order a second battery pack for the MS32. My only complaint is it would be nice if the spare battery pack had a cap to cover the threads. I use the MS32 flashlight mainly when my truck is being washed at a Blue Beacon, the light makes the chrome look shiny and everyone loves the flashlight. It's a lot of fun to use and it sits on my passenger seat all the time. I rarely use it, I'm responsible with it, you don't want to be shining this on the road at night for example, but I do use it in the middle of nowhere where there's no one around! It maintains close to 40,000 lumens for roughly 40 minutes. On turbo it starts at 200,000 lumens then slowly ramps down to about 160,000 lumens by 45 seconds or so; so you get 160,000 plus lumens for 45 seconds. It really is an incredible light. You can quad tap to engage the fans to cool the light after use. I think Imalent should make the next flashlight with the ability to enable the fans even at lower output modes, to cool the light off faster at expense of run time so we can jump into the max output mode again quicker. This flashlight won't let you go into 200,000 lumens again until the light has cooled down a bit. The 200,000 lumen mode is a bit of a novelty, it doesn't last long but that's what you'd expect, all flashlight manufacturers do this. The light literally maintains just shy of 40,000 lumens for a little over 40 minutes; that's the max sustained mode, and the run times on the other modes are excellent. 9,000 lumens for 3 hours ... 18,000 lumens for 1h25 minutes. No other flashlight can boast run times like that. The price is also worth it. You can use the battery as a USB-C power bank which is also excellent. Overall, I love the flashlight. Be responsible with it, be careful. It does get really hot. It's a monster! Imalent has done it :)
Yes, what i really would want as a Truck Driver in the middle of Night is getting fcking flashbanged..
The battery works well and is great on Turbo and Medium 1 (2300 lumens). Lots of light from a pocket torch! Is great security for nighttime forest walking. Thanks
This is the best edc flashlight i have ever owned. And i've had many...unfortunately it's out of stock now but it was small and very powerfull, also very tough. You could go from 10 lumens to 1200. Good job Imalent and i hope you'll manufacture the LD10 again one day ..
